What this covers
This explains what Elevate Business Network does with information about members, event attendees and visitors to this site. It applies to this website, our member portal, and the emails we send.
What we collect
When you join or register: your name, email address, business name, phone number, and whatever else the form asks for — for example your industry or what you are looking for from the network.
When you use the member portal: sign-ins, event attendance, referrals you log, and one-to-one meetings you book.
Automatically: ordinary web server records such as IP address and browser type, kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
To run the network: process your membership, list you in the member directory if you have opted in, register you for events, log referrals, and send you the emails that come with membership.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not share it with other business networks.
The member directory
Being listed in the directory is your choice and you can change it at any time in the member portal. If your membership is suspended or ends, your listing comes down immediately.
Service emails — sign-in links, event confirmations, receipts — are part of membership and are sent as long as you are a member.
Announcements and newsletters carry an unsubscribe link in every message. Unsubscribing is honored immediately and permanently, and never affects your membership or your service emails.
Payments
Dues, event tickets and sponsorships are processed by ValorPay. Your card details are entered directly into their system and are never stored by us — we keep only the amount, date, last four digits and status, which is what a receipt needs.
Who else is involved
The website and member portal are operated for Elevate Business Network by its technology partner, and hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Email is delivered through Amazon SES. Payments are handled by ValorPay. These providers act on our instructions and for no other purpose.
We do not use advertising networks or trackers that follow you around the web.
How long we keep it
Membership records are kept while you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a returning member is recognised rather than duplicated. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
Ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — write to hello@elevatebiznetwork.com and we will help. You can update most details yourself in the member portal.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in is passwordless — we email you a link or a code — so there is no password of yours for anyone to steal.
